BIOGRAPHY

Carla Pandolfo is a neurodivergent interdisciplinary artist born in Uruguay in 1987. She started her visual arts education at 5 years old and by her 13’s she won her first art prize with an abstract artwork for an international worldwide Art contest in Brazil.

She has experimented from watercolors landscapes to figurative artworks with markers, gouache, urban sketching, brush pens, collage and acrylics.

But as a highly sensitive person -and a freedom advocate- her passion is to let her emotions flow into abstract-expressionists artworks inspired by music and her life values; freedom, love, joy and adventure.

She has migrated to Sydney, Australia in 2018 and then to Barcelona in march 2020 and has finally settled down in Alicante.

"I LOVE COMPOSITIONS, TO COMPOSE FOR ME, IS TO MIX THINGS THAT ARE INVISIBLE GLUED BY A BLEND OF THE ARTIST STYLE, TASTE, CULTURE, AIMS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS TO COMMUNICATE OR STATE A CONCEPT. I AM A COMPOSITIONS BEING! BESIDES MY ART EDUCATION I AM ALSO A GRAPHIC DESIGNER (I MIX VISUAL RESOURCES TO COMMUNICATE), I WRITE POETRY (I MIX WORDS TO EXPRESS MY HEART AND SOUL) I MIX MUSIC! (I MIX SOUNDS AND MOODS TO CREATE SETS) AND I ALSO ENJOY COMPOSITION WHEN I TAKE A PICTURE

ARTIST STATEMENT

I get involved in long layers journeys but my designer side enjoys a lot working on minimalistic or modern artworks too, where ideas, exploration, emotions and curated aesthetics criteria meet on the dance floor.

Art has been part of my life since forever so it is more who I am rather something that “I make”.

To me, art is the capacity of the artwork to connect two or more souls through emotions and that is what I aim for, Soul connections through soul experiences delivering high frequency emotions worldwide.

MY PRACTICE

My art practice allows me to experience life according to some of my top values; freedom, creativity, adventure, beauty & joy. Guided by curiosity, intuition and the passion of composing visually my art does not have any planning, sketching or standardized procedure.
